Splint a forearm, a wrist or an ankle.

The splint is soft aluminum inside closed-cell foam. Bend it into a C-curve for stiffness, a sugar tong for the forearm, or a stirrup for the ankle, then wrap it in place with the included bandages.

Is the tourniquet a genuine C-A-T?
No. It's a windlass-style tourniquet with a time label, included as part of the kit. Inspect it when the kit arrives and practice with it. If a tourniquet is the main reason you're buying a kit, add a genuine CoTCCC-recommended tourniquet from an authorized seller. It fits in this pouch.
What's in the 70 pieces, and what's missing?
For bleeding: 1 tourniquet, 1 Israeli-style pressure bandage, 2 dressings and 2 gauze pads. For wraps and splinting: 5 elastic bandages, 1 triangular bandage and 1 moldable splint. Tools: trauma shears, a marker, 2 rolls of tape, an emergency blanket and a multi-tool card. The rest is 50 cotton swabs and the pouch itself. Not included: gloves, medications, antiseptic, adhesive bandages, hemostatic gauze or a chest seal. There is room left in the pouch to add your own.
Where should I keep it?
Where you spend time. On the headrest strap it rides behind a front seat, off the floor and easy to find. Or in a range bag, or by the door at home. One per vehicle is a good rule. Keep everyday bandages in a separate small pouch, so you're not digging past them when it's serious.
What should I check when it arrives?
Open it the day it arrives. Check the dates on the packaging and note them, because medical supplies can expire. Learn where each item sits. If anything is damaged, defective or missing, email info@phantomtactic.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll send a free replacement for that piece.
Do I need training to use it?
For the tourniquet and the pressure bandage, yes. Take a bleeding-control class such as Stop the Bleed before you need them. The gear helps, but knowing how and when to use it is what counts. Call 911 for any serious injury.
